What You'll Build
Full-stack BC development embedded within structured implementation engagements. Typically:
- AL extensions — per-tenant customisations built to a design-first specification, upgrade-safe, and peer-reviewed before delivery.
- C/AL to AL migrations — assessing legacy NAV customisations, deciding what to rebuild natively, what to replace with an ISV, and what to retire; then doing the work cleanly.
- API-based integrations — REST/OData, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps — designed to specification, tested end-to-end, and documented before handover.
- Technical artefacts — directing Hybrid AI Solutions' AI tooling to generate extension specs, integration documentation, and test scripts; reviewing all outputs before client delivery.
Hard Requirements
If the list below does not describe your current capability, this is not the right engagement.
- 5+ years hands-on BC or NAV AL development experience, with production extensions delivered in live environments.
- Proven C/AL to AL migration experience — not just syntax conversion, but assessment, rebuild, and upgrade-path management on at least two live projects.
- Solid AL depth: table and page extensions, codeunit logic, event subscribers, report extensions, and API pages.
- Hands-on integration experience: BC REST/OData APIs plus Power Automate or Azure Logic Apps in a production context.
- Comfortable working embedded in delivery — attending workshops, engaging client technical teams directly, and raising scope flags before they become delivery problems.
- Comfortable directing AI productivity tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or equivalent) to generate and review technical artefacts — extension specs, integration docs, test scripts — as a standard part of delivery.
